Careers days Careers in Languages (all partners) Aim: promote translation as an attractive career path Attended by A-level students, undergraduate students, also mature participants (e.g. 138 participants, Westminster, February 2008, in partnership with NNI) Talks given by graduates of our own postgraduate programmes
Themed events Audiovisual translation: translating corporate films (Salford, June 2008) The Life of a Literary Translator (Bath, February 2008) Starting work as a translator or interpreter (Westminster, June 2008, joint event with NNI and ITI) Presentations also by translation and localisation company representatives and professional translators
