6 In most emergencies, it quickly will be clear whether it is of crisis proportion.

7 A crisis is a unexpected event of a nature or magnitude which meets all of the following conditions:

9 Requires an immediate, coordinated management response

10 May require decision-making at higher levels of the company

11 If you aren't sure whether an emergency at your site is a crisis, treat it as a crisis.

But our focus as an industry must remain on prevention and stressing to each and every person that safety is an integral and inseparable part of producing coal.
