RICH QUESTION For our rich question we had to think of a question that wouldn’t be answered just like that. This question should take at least 4 or 5 weeks to answer, which is the whole point of I.B.L. My rich question was: How do you know that you have taken a good photo.

RULE OF THE THIRDS The rule of thirds is a powerful compositional technique for making photos more interesting and dynamic. It's also perhaps one of the most well known technique. This article uses examples to demonstrate why the rule works, when it's ok to break the rule, and how to make the most of it to improve your photography.

HISTORY OF THE CAMERA Photography started with a camera and the basic idea has been around since about the 5th Century B.C. For centuries these were just ideas until an Iraqi scientist developed something called the camera obscura sometime in the 11th Century. Even then, the camera did not actually record images, they simply projected them onto another surface. The images were also upside down.

LIGHTING When we were in class doing I.B.L Miss Baker told us that you should always take a photo when the sun is behind you because the picture is really bright and your picture is ruined. If you the sun isn’t behind you then your picture is to light and hard to see what you are trying to take a photo of. Where as on the other side it’s easy because it’s not to dark but it’s not to bright.

WHAT HAVE WE LOOKED AT. BUGS EYE VIEW One of our topics for taking pictures were bugs eye view. Here is my picture that I took. I thought it was really cool. Black and white One of our topics were black and white. This looks really good. Nature We have also looked at nature. I think I am the best at this.

WHAT HAVE I LEARNT So fare photography is my favourite subject I have ever done because I get to acutely show what I can do… I have learnt so many new things I didn’t know before like the rule of the thirds and good angles to take a photo also I’ve learnt about the history of the cameras; I never new there were so many different types of cameras. I have also learnt not to take a camera when the sun is in front of you because then your photo is really light and you can’t even really see what you are taking the picture of.
