The Outer Planets All Gas (Jovian)

Jupiter 5 th planet from the sun (5.2 AU) Mostly made of Hydrogen and Helium Is the largest planet. Has a giant storm called “The Great Red Spot”. 63 Known Moons.

Saturn 6 th planet from the sun. (9.5 AU) It’s rings are pieces of rock and ice. Has at least 31 moons.

Uranus 7 th Planet from the sun. (19.19 AU) It’s axis is tilted over on it’s side. Has at least 21 moons.

Neptune 8 th planet from the sun. (30.6 AU) Has a dark spot called “The Great Dark Spot”. Has at least 8 moons.

Pluto 9 th Planet from the sun. (39.5 AU) Has one known moon (Charon). Pluto is smaller than Earth’s moon. 1 year on Pluto is 248 Earth years.

Planet: Orbits the sun. Moon: Orbits a planet. Planets do not make their own light.
