EQUIPMENT INFORMATION YOUR DAUGHTER WILL BE PROVIDED A JERSEY FOR THE SEASON THAT THEY ARE RESPONSIBLE TO LAUNDER AND KEEP UP WITH THROUGHOUT THE SEASON. THEY HAVE TO PROVIDE THEIR OWN BLACK SPANDEX, KNEE PADS(WHITE) & APPROPRIATE TENNIS SHOES This equipment is property of MISD and must be returned. Your daughter will be required to replace any lost or damaged equipment per MISD policy

EQUIPMENT INFORMATION CONTINUED Equipment to Purchase Your daughter will need to purchase athletic clothes. They are $20 for the set, or can be purchased individually ($10 for shirt, $10 for shorts).

EXPECTATIONS OF PLAYERS 1.Pass all classes every six weeks. 2.Be punctual. 3.Be respectful to coaches, administrators, and teachers, and fellow students. 4.Follow all MISD policies 5.If your daughter misses practice, they are responsible for texting, ing, or contacting their coach. Do not relay this information through another teammate.

1.To make decisions that are best for the team/program 2.To be honest with you and your daughter 3.To discipline your daughter and hold her to a very high standard 4.To help develop your daughter physically, mentally, and emotionally 5.To teach your daughter life lessons through athletics WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM THE COACHES

PARENT/COACH RELATIONSHIPS AT MIDWAY Understanding and respecting the position of both parents and coaches will help enhance the athletic experience for our athletes.

Appropriate Concerns to Discuss with the Coach 1.The coach’s interaction with your daughter 2.How the coach can help your daughter become a better athlete and student 3.Concerns about your daughter’s interactions with others

AREAS LEFT TO THE DISCRETION OF THE COACH 1.Team strategy 2.Other athletes or other situations not involving your daughter 3.Play calling 4.Playing time

For a Conference Call Coach Ochoa or your daughter’s coach to set up an appointment during their conference periods. Conferences may include other coaches or administrators if you prefer. Please do not attempt to confront a coach after a game or practice. Emotions are running too high and will not result in a positive resolution

Parent Code of Conduct 1.Love and support your child and the team, win or lose 2.Be realistic about your child’s abilities 3.Be positive and encouraging at all times 4.Do not come to the fence, field, or court during a game to talk to your daughter 5.Respect the coach’s decisions and encourage others to do the same 6.Realize that we are in this together!

Sport Specific Policies/Procedures Remember no food is to be dropped off at the front office! We will let students know the drop off times at least a day in advance. Food needs to be dropped off in the teacher parking lot (off Regal) Parents taking athletes home from away contests: You MUST sign your child out. There will be consequences if your child forgets to do this. Your child, under NO circumstances, cannot leave with someone other than you.
