6 Vision Statement The vision of the Montwood High School girls’ soccer team is to encourage and promote an environment where all athletes will succeed in the classroom, on the soccer field and in life.

7 Mission Statement By promoting player development, improved soccer skills, sportsmanship and academic achievement, the Montwood High School girls’ soccer team strives to encourage a healthy lifestyle and fun soccer atmosphere.

9 Expectations All student athletes on the Montwood girls’ soccer team are expected to: treat coaches, teammates, teachers, staff and themselves with RESPECT. practice good sportsmanship on and off the soccer field. follow ALL school rules as stated in the handbook. practice and perform with heart and dedication at all times. work hard in the classroom to maintain eligibility. practice safety at all times. NOT take pictures while in the locker rooms. No cell phone usage is allowed on the sidelines/bench during games and scrimmages! * be on time to soccer class!!! * suit out daily!!!! * turn in grade verification sheets on time!!!

10 SISD Code of Conduct 1. Go to SISD website and click on “Departments” 2. Click on “Athletics” 3. Click on “Athletic code of Conduct” 4. Read the Code of Conduct and sign Receipt of Handbook/ Signature Form 5. Return form to coach before December 1 st !!!! Receipt of Athletic Code of Conduct 2011-2012 Student Athlete: I, _________________, acknowledge that I have received a copy of (print name) the Socorro Independent School District Athletic Handbook. I understand that it is my responsibility to read and adhere to all of its contents. 11 Practice and Game Procedures *If you are going to miss a game for any reason, you must notify your coach in advance. *If you miss 1 practice during the game week it can result in sitting out half a game or full game if 2 or more practice days are missed. ***Picking up your daughter from away games??? Please listen carefully!!

12 Alternate Form of Travel paperwork MUST be submitted to their coach no later than 9:30am on game day!!!!!!

13 Game procedures continued * Every athlete MUST ride the bus to the game and return on the bus back to school unless…..documentation has been submitted to their coach beforehand. - If this rule is not followed be prepared for half or full game suspension!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Remember: Your child’s safety is our #1 priority!!!

15 TRYOUTS are December 1 st, 2 nd and 3rd at 7:00am on the practice fields. Dec. 1 st - tennis shoes only Dec. 2 nd - cleats and shin guards Dec. 3 rd - cleats and shin guards December 4 th JV and Varsity teams will be posted in coaches office.

16 JV and Varsity teams will be picked from the players in the soccer class.  Exceptions include: girls that are not in the class and have played previously on JV and Varsity teams.  Nov. 30th is our first official practice day!!!  Varsity and JV team players will be named on Dec.3rd  Three scrimmages will be scheduled before official games begin.

17 All athletes that receive equipment will have to fill out an inventory control sheet. Every item on the inventory sheet must be returned at the end of the season!!!!!!!!! Each varsity athlete will be receiving equipment that costs approximately $300

20 Monthly Team Bonding Activities Friday, August 21 st - Movie on the Lawn @ 7pm Saturday, September 5, 2015- Danny Ray Sanchez Memorial Run @ Montwoood High School- $15.00- 8:00AM
