8 ShipNODep –project ( ShipNODep is Interreg IIIA co- operation programme between Finland and Estonia ShipNODep links (1) the real-time emission inventory to (2) atmospheric dispersion and deposition models and further to (3) marine ecosystem models For the first time ship emissions are calculated with advanced technique based on the Automatic Identification System –data provided by HELCOM Source: ShipNODep

9 ShipNODep –project ( Results: –NOx emissions of Baltic shipping are more than tons –SOx emissions of Baltic shipping are more than tons –With IMO Tier 2 and Tier 3 regulations (represented by IMO/MEPC 57 in spring 2008) the NOx emissions of Baltic shipping can be turned to decrease in 2019 Source: ShipNODep
