Long ago everyone lived in one place. There were two sheep. A boy sheep and his mama. The boy sheep was very angry. He hit things with his head and they exploded. So they called him “Lightning.” Lightning would hit trees. Lightning would hit houses.

Thunder and Lightning! His Mama would yell “Stop!” Mama’s voice was very loud. It shook everything. So they called Mama Thunder. Lightning would hit things. Thunder would yell stop. No one could sleep.

Thunder and Lightning! The People went to the King to complain. “Lightning burned down my house.” “Lightning burned down my trees.” “Thunder is so loud no one can sleep.”

Thunder and Lightning! The King sent Thunder and Lightning to live in the sky. The People were happy. Now they could sleep! Today Lightning still gets angry. He hits the sky and it explodes! Mama yells to stop and the sky shakes! That is why Thunder and Lightning live in the sky.
