Presentation transcript:

August 2012 Updates: A play date with Hamish Hamish, from Hahgoot’s class, has been smitten with her for the last few months. He really wanted to have a play date so at last we managed to have him over. He is a gorgeous kid, very emotional and enthusiastic (which is hilarious to watch next to Hahgoot who barely shows emotions outwardly). The cookies baking activity was his idea. Unfortunately, I had a problem with the dough and it didn’t get sticky enough but this didn’t stop the kids from trying to make shapes with the cookie cutters...

Hamish told everyone who had ears that he is going to a play date at Hahgoot’s house, and even shouted it to kids as we crossed the road to our home (I was starting to wonder if there was an ad in the local paper as well...) It was very cute. At school he always wants to hold her hand and they seem to have a lot in common. The interesting bit was the classmates reaction to this display of affection – it kind of reminded me of the movie “Grease” ( It’s a good practice of dealing with social behaviour

Till the cookies were ready the kids had something to eat and Hahgoot put her vest on for 10 minutes. She didn’t want to at the beginning, but without it her behaviour could go downhill quickly in the afternoon, so she agreed. The kids let off some extra energy with a game of wild “large hands banging” – Hamish was amused by Hahgoot’s inability to save herself...

The kids kept busy with games and made up their own – and at last the cookies were out and ready to decorate!

It was a very successful play date for everyone!

In our next presentation: Alma Turns 2 Years Old!
