What Is Tourette's?  Web Definition: an inherited neuropsychiatric disorder which onset in childhood, characterized by multiple physical (motor) and at least one verbal (phonic) tic  Tourette’s syndrome (TS)

Symptoms of TS  Tics involving movement (motor) such as a facial tics (Ex. blinking) -Motor tics usually occur before vocal  There is no typical case of Tourette's  Currently no brain or laboratory test (only psychiatric evaluation)

Diagnosis  Child must have several different types of tics (motor and at least one vocal) for over a year  Tourette’s usually shows up in early childhood  Many kids/teens with TS have ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder) and or OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder)
