Unique Cultural Groups, Women and Minority Groups Learning Goal 4: Identify examples of cultures that maintain traditional cultural patterns and compare the economic, social or political opportunities for women, ethnic and religious minorities and underrepresented populations in different cultures. Some nations restrict women through law Example- Saudi Arabia women limited on contact with men outside of their family. Some businesses have separate rooms for male and female employees. Women banned from driving in Saudi Arabia. ***Participation in the workforce is lowest in the world. Some parts of the world, women’s roles are undergoing cultural changes that have allowed women greater access to education and the workforce. ***Example Iran women just as likely to earn college degree and gain employment outside the home.
