Where is Hanukkah celebrated? Hanukkah is celebrated in the countries where Jewish people live.

What food is eaten at Hanukkah? At Hanukkah they eat potato pancakes, latkes and sufgamyot, which are deep fried doughnuts.

Why is this festival celebrated? 2000 years ago the Jews defeated an army. They cleaned the temple in Jerusalem and lit the menorah to celebrate. They only had oil for 1 day but it lasted for 8 days. Hanukkah remembers this miracle.

How is Hanukkah celebrated? Hanukkah is celebrated by lighting a menorah, singing songs, praying and exchanging cards and gifts.

When is Hanukkah celebrated? Hanukkah is celebrated in the Jewish month of Kislev which falls in November or December depending on the sun.
