3 Why Do People Celebrate Hanukkah? Hanukkah is the story a great victory of the Jews over the Syrian- Greeks. Jewish people tell of story of only having enough oil to burn the candles in the temple for one day, but the oil lasted for eight days. That is why they celebrate Hanukkah and why the menorah has eight candles.

4 When Does Hanukkah Take Place? It stats on the 25th day of kislev

5 What Are Some Traditions Of Hanukkah? Dreidel, menorah and the bible. The dreidel is a top. [sevivon in Hebrew] It is a top with four sides. On each side there is a Hebrew letter. You spin it like a top. You get gelt based on which side it lands on. Gelt is chocolate coins.

6 Are There Special Decorations For Hanukkah? A menorah. A menorah is a candle holder that can hold 8 candles. They hang David stars.

7 Do You Get Presents? You get 8 presents 1 each day. You get presents when you light the menorah.

8 There Are Special Foods Eaten On Hanukkah? Foods fried in oil and latke. Kids eat gelt which is chocolate.

9 Are Special Clothing Worn For Hanukkah? Yes there is. A yamaka is a hat for a boy. Ticht is a hat for a girl.

10 Would I like To Celebrate Hanukkah? Yes, I already celebrate this holiday. If I did not celebrate this holiday I would want to celebrate Hanukkah because I like lighting the candles.
