ORGANIZING A SCHOOL LOCKER

What do dirty/unorganized lockers lead to?...

UNEXPECTED ROOMATES!!!

BUGS WON’T HELP!! …or will they?…

No…Really… You will lose important work. You will lose important work. You won’t find what you need in time. You won’t find what you need in time. –Leads to unexcused tardies and possible referrals! You may lose books. You may lose books. –They cost money if not found. –Grades may go down b/c you don’t have the book.

SO, LET’S GET ORGANIZED!

+ Positives + More time at passing periods! More time at passing periods! –YAY! BATHROOM BREAKS!!! –NO TARDIES!!!!! –NO TARDIES!!!!! Easy to find class materials! Easy to find class materials! –Teacher is not disappointed. –I am READY TO ROCK! Better chance of bringing home what you need. Better chance of bringing home what you need. –No more excuse…”THE LOCKER ATE IT!”

+Positives+ cont… I’m sick!!! Mom/Dad/etc….can you get this from my locker? I’m sick!!! Mom/Dad/etc….can you get this from my locker? –If someone needs to get it for you, they can find it EASILY! –You won’t have to wait to get work done, & it wouldn’t pile up.

CONSIDER THIS… Does it work for me? Does it work for me? –Will you keep up with it? –Does it look nice, but it’s not functional? Will I find everything easily? Will I find everything easily? –The system doesn’t work! –No time to fix it later. Is this something I like?? Is this something I like?? –If not, chances are you won’t keep up with it.  For example…Mrs. Merk likes COLORS!!!!

DO WE ALL DO THE SAME THING? Not necessarily… Find your own system, but keep to guidelines.

LOCKERS Eww… Eww…FAMILIAR???

An Empty Locker is NO GOOD! Don’t give up!! & Don’t live in your locker!! Don’t give up!! & Don’t live in your locker!!
