Communication Workshop

Aims for today: You will be able to write a story with the following skills:  1 attracting the reader at the beginning  2 using adjectives or adverbs to make languages vivid.  3 showing the order of events by sequence

Writing: events in my life Step1:Check homework about Ex1. and Ex2. Read the three drafts of a student’s composition on the topic A Day When Everything Went Wrong. Decide which one is the most interesting. The draft C is the most interesting.

(1)attracts the attention of the reader at the beginning of a story. (2)shows the order of events. (3)shares feelings with the reader. (4)use vivid language to make the writing more interesting. Ex2.: Ⅰ discuss their answers about how the writer

As I climbed up the stairs to the classroom, I heard a booming voice behind me. I felt tense and dizzy. When I left the stage people didn’t applaud very loudly and it came as no surprise that I was last in the competition.

I tried, and failed to practise during the lunch break. The result? I couldn’t remember any of the poems and had to keep looking down at my book. The more I looked down, the redder my face became.
