SPOB meeting ALICE space in P22 Status of P2 space 37 barracks on site, most of them dating from LEP times 30 barracks used by ALICE (others by CV, BE,..). 8 are rented by the collaboration Used mainly to store small/delicate objects and as office space !!! These barracks are in really bad conditions. They are an hazardous and unhealthy place !!! We aim at getting rid of all of them. In 2010 GS has already removed the 4 oldest ones We need additional space in replacement of these barracks: –We request to have new offices and a storage area (see next slides)

Barracks !!!

New conference room not needed We like very much to have them on the 2 nd floor of Bld (design of foundations was made such to cope with this possibility) 2.Storage space: New building with foundation, similar to B.292 (Meyrin) Surface ~ 250m 2 2 entrance doors: –Personnel –Material (possibility to enter with trans-pallet) Heating
