Savanna Soil~ The soil is very diverse Major soil types-lithosols,lateritic soils,cracking clays,red/yellow earths,deep sands, and alluvial soils

Climate Usually cooler during the dry seaons by a few degrees. The savanna climate has a temperature range of 68 to 86. Average temperature summer: 30 degrees ( 86 F ) Winter 0. The yearly rainfall is 25 to 75cm. It has 10 29.5 in of rain. Rainy and dry seasons in the summers with around 15 to 25 inches of rain and a dry seasom in the winter when only a couple of inches of rain may fall.

Animals & Foods The animals are a biso, elephants giraffes,zebras, and wildbeats Animals like elephants, giraffes, zebras, gazelles,and wildbeast. Also carnivores like lions,lepards and hyends. The supply of food can be very high at sometimes of the year. The animals in Savannas eat other animals located in the Savannas.

Fruits & Plants Found In The Savanna -Abal ( shrub, North Africa ) Its flowers can be eaten, and contain high concentrations and nitrogen. -Acacia (tree, prominent throughout Africa ) You can eat its leaves, flowers and pods ( either raw or cooked -Baobab ( unmistakable tree; quite common throughout Africa). You can eat the root, the fruit pulp, the leaves ( in a soup ) and even the seeds that can be ground for flour. -Beech ( tree; North Africa ). Beech pod produce edible beechnuts once you remove the shell and white Kernel within. Beechnuts have a sweet flavor and high oil content.
