2 Acacia Senegal Abiotic factors Special Adaptations
Can live through long periods of draught and dry soil. They actually can grow well in sandy areas Only needs 12 to 15 inches of rain per year Special Adaptations Can live without rain during the dry seasons in the savanna. Has thorns for defense against certain intruders.

3 Bermuda Grass Abiotic Factors Special Adaptations
Grows in open areas in warm climates Because of dry soil it has a deep root system to find water to survive Special Adaptations Because of it’s root system it can survive flooding and very windy conditions

4 Elephant Grass Abiotic Factors Special Adaptations
It grows very thick in soil by rivers and lakes because of the water. Extreme heat of the savanna are needed as it will die in the frost. Special Adaptations It has razor sharp edges to protect it from big animals stomping it.

5 Gum tree Eucalyptus Abiotic factor Special adaptions
Dry soil and a lot of sunlight Special adaptions Lives a long time

6 Jackalberry Tree Abiotic Factors Best located in the heavy soils of termite mounds since this soil is aerated and moist. Likes rocky, moist volcanic sand, by riverbeds and swampy areas. Special adaptations Termites can’t eat this wood.

7 Jarrah Tree Abiotic Factors Special Adaptations Grows in gravely soil.
Can also grow in sand. It can live in places where it is dry. Special Adaptations Lignotuber – this is something the tree grows under itself which makes it grows back even after a fire. It has long roots to get to water when it is very dry out. Can live 500 years.

8 Kangaroo Paw Abiotic Factors Special Adaptations
Grows in sandy or gravely soil Special Adaptations Wooly, small hairs on stems makes is taste funny so animals don’t like to eat it. The hairs hang on to water so it live in dry areas.

9 River Bushwillow Abiotic Factors Special Adaptations
Needs a lot of sun. Needs very moist soil so it grows by riverbanks. Special Adaptations Animals don’t pick and eat the seeds because they cause bad hiccups. The roots grow very long so it can get a lot of water. The leaves drop off when it is dry to help it save water.

10 Umbrella Thorn Acacia Abiotic Factors Special Adaptations
Grows in sand and rocky ground. Needs little water so it lives where there is not much rain. It gets a lot of sun light. Special Adaptations Can live in places where it gets really hot and really cold. It has really long roots so it can get water when it is very dry. It has thorns to keep animals away from it.

11 Whistling Thorn Abiotic Factors Special Adaptations
Tree lives in very dry soil and can also live in very wet soil after the rainy season. Special Adaptations Stinging ants can live in this tree and they protect it from animals that try to bother it by.
