By John Rowe

Once upon a time in the forest, there were talking trees. They were upset because a mean wood cutter, named Joe, cut down the prince tree.

Now they were arguing over who would be the next prince, but then the mean woodcutter cut down the princess!

Joe said, “If the new prince kills me, the princess is yours, but if I cut down the prince, they’re dead. So the king and queen trees sent the prince out to fight the woodcutter for the princess.

10 minutes later, the prince heard a chainsaw. He walked around and around to see if the he was coming. Soon the mean woodcutter jumped out from the bushes.

That’s how the war started. More trees came and more woodcutters came. They fought and fought, but the war finally ended when the talking trees won.

Do you want to know how they did it? They just smashed the woodcutters. Then the princess married the prince, had a baby tree, and lived happily ever after.
