3. Act 1
Macbeth and his friend Banquo won a battle in
Scotland a long time ago. When Macbeth and Banquo came home,
They met three witches. The witches made a prediction.
The witches told Macbeth that he would be king of Scotland.

5. Macbeth had an idea.
Scotland and Macbeth would be king.
The Prince of Scotland
ran away.
Macbeth asked his wife to help him become king.
Macbeth’s wife was called Lady Macbeth.

7. Act
Lady Macbeth told Macbeth to kill King Duncan.
Macbeth killed King Duncan in his bed.
Macbeth’s sons were scared and ran away.
Macbeth would be a king soon.

9. Act 3
Macbeth killed Banquo. Banquo’s ghost visited Macbeth at dinner.
Only Macbeth can see Banquo’s ghost.
The three witches met to talk about what would
happen to Macbeth.

11. Act
Macbeth asked the three witches to tell him his future.
Macbeth wanted to be king. Macbeth wanted not to be killed.
Macduff owns a castle. Macbeth kills Macduff’s family.
Macduff is mad.
Macduff says he will kill Macbeth.

13. Act
Lady Macbeth and Macbeth killed people.
Lady Macbeth is sad.
Lady Macbeth walks when she is asleep.
Lady Macbeth is so upset that she washes her hands over and over.
Lady Macbeth kills herself.

15. Macbeth fought Macduff.
Macbeth was killed.
The new king is the Prince of Scotland.
