Do not work for food that spoils, but for food that endures to eternal life.”

Differing Appetites The Legalist o “…they asked him, “What must we do to do the works God requires?” o God is not interested in giving you a list of do’s and don’ts to make Him happy with you. o God wants a personal relationship with you and that cannot be accomplished by following a list of works. o “The work of God is this: to believe in the one He has sent.”

Differing Appetites The Sensationalist o Miracle-seekers o Yesterday’s miracle insufficient for today Then He just says it, “I am the bread of life.”

Universal Diet Health Food o The spiritual part of man must be fed just as the physical o Jesus tells us what spiritual health food is, He said, “…my flesh is real food and my blood is real drink.” o Moses wrote, “… man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of the LORD.”

Universal Diet Global Food o Staples in every diet o Jesus says of eating His flesh and blood, “whoever” twice in the span of just two verses o His flesh and blood has the same affect on every human spirit and soul that appropriates this food into their life by faith and belief

Universal Diet Life-Giving Food o Jesus said, “the one who feeds on Me will live.” o He even says it this way, Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me and I in Him. o Then He ties it together ever more deeply by saying, “I live because of the Father, so the one who feeds on me will live because of me.”

Universal Diet o He also adds this saying in verse 54 to offend the Sadducees in the crowd, but also makes this an acceptable Easter Sunday passage, “… I WILL RAISE HIM UP ON THE LAST DAY.” o Today is the celebration of the Resurrection. o The doctrine of the resurrection is integral to all Christian belief. If there had been no resurrection of Jesus Christ, there would be no Christianity.

Superior Nourishment o Earthly Food  Soul Food  Manna o Heavenly Food  Food with a promise Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will never go hungry, and he who believes in me will never be thirsty. Jn. 6:35

1. Decide where you are today – are you a materialist, a legalist, a sensationalist or just a plain old born again saint of God who truly believes by simple faith and belief that Jesus Christ is the Son of the Living God. Which one are you? 2. The doctrine of the resurrection is integral to all Christian belief. If there had been no resurrection of Jesus Christ there would be no Christianity – every critic and nonbeliever in Jesus Christ try to disprove the resurrection in hopes to destroy what we all know to be the truth. God love them, God be with them, and God help them with their unbelief, but I tell you today the resurrection of Jesus is the single most provable event in ancient history – it is real!!! 1.There is nothing left but this, “Oh taste and see that the Lord is Good.
