2. Jesus had just walked on water and multiplied loaves of bread and fishes, so many crowds of people had followed him across the river.

3. The people asked Jesus how they could accomplish the works of God. Jesus said if they believed in the one God sent, they would be accomplishing his works.

4. Jesus explained how it was the Father who gave their ancestors bread in the desert, not Moses. We don’t believe you are the son of God. Prove It! Jesus is the bread of life and those who believe in him will not thirst. “Everyone who sees the son and believes in him may have eternal life, and I shall raise him on the last day.”

5. Their ancestors ate the manna from the desert and died, but Jesus is the bread that came down from heaven. “However eats this bread will live forever; and the bread that I will give is my flesh for the life of the world.”

6. Jesus said, “Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me and I in him.” Whoever eats this bread will live forever.
