Preliminaries  Pre-class (10 classwork pts.)  Do you believe that video games cause violence? State your opinion in one sentence in a Word document (e.g. “I believe that video games cause (or do not) directly cause people to act violently.”)  Conduct a Google search to find websites which contain articles you can use to support your opinion.  Include the U.R.L.s for these sites.  Pre-read each article to locate the main idea and write one sentence summarizing it.  Save the document.

Objectives  Today you will learn:  How to define the following terms:  Cell  Row  Column  Be able to create tables in Word.  You will know that you accomplished these objectives when:  You can incorporate research findings on an opinion into a table.

Focus Lesson: Tables  Launch Word.  Create a blank table.  Organize your research thus far into a table.  Enter column header information in the first row.  Enter data in the following rows.  Save your work to the hard drive and allow me to save it to a flash drive.
