Focus Lesson: Chivalry…  Small Groups  Compare and contrast the traits of Sir Kay and Arthur (e.g., Sir Kay sends Arthur back to get his sword, Arthur cannot locate the sword, but dutifully finds and provides another).  How does Sir Kay serve as a foil to Arthur (Elements, TE, p. 646, “Direct Teaching,” “D”)?  How do Arthur’s actions serve to define and demonstrate chivalry?

6. Homework  Continue watching I-Search movies, reading books and taking QNQs.  Sir Gawain: list at least 3 ways in which Sir Gawain follows the Code of Chivalry (due next class for 10 homework points).
