Case Studies: state of art and activities’ ‘‘Red line’’ A transnational project implemented by WP 7 - URBAN ENVIRONMENT SCIENTIFIC MEETING, MILAN  Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia/Italy: two pilot cases on possible economic aspects connected with 1) the environmental certification of a model territory, 2) recovery of abandoned areas due to elimination of borders;  Region of Piedmont/Italy: two pilot cases on 1) renovation of old traditional hamlets to sustain tourism and agricultural-breeding activities, 2) refurbishment of traditional buildings based on an innovative assessment tool whose acronym is AEBAT;
