To make the gravy, you will need sweet potatoes, yellow onions, fresh red hot chillies, dried ground coriander, preserved bean curds, vegetable broth seasoned with dark soy sauce. For garnishing, you will need spring onions, celery, green chillies, ginger, limes, dark soy sauce and seasoned tofu.

Malay Customs Muslim greet each other with the salam (an Islamic form of greeting) which consists of the words Assalamu'alaikum (Peace be upon you).
