Nasi Lemak What are the ingredients for making Nasi Lemak? For making Nasi Lemak, you will need Rice, Pandan leaf, Prawns, Tamarind Juice, Cooking Oil, Dried and Fresh Chillis, Blacan, Lengkuss, Candle Nut, HardBoiled Eggs, Ikan Bilis, Cucumber And Kangkong.

Rendang A meat dish that is prepared with coconut milk, chilies, onions and other condiments. Eaten with rice, the tasty tender meat is a delectable dish, a must at most Malay functions. What is rendang?

Satay What are Satay? Satay is a malay traditional food that is made of Either mutton, chicken or beef. But due to a long Period of time, the Chinese has improvise and Include pork. Satay is often go with peanut gravy And Ketupat which is also rice. It is also accompanied With cucumber.

Mee Rebus What is Mee Rebus? Mee Rebus are noodles in sweet potato gravy. To prepare for the noodles, wheat noodles or yellow noodles and mung bean sprouts. To make the gravy, you will need sweet potatoes, yellow onions, fresh red hot chillies, dried ground coriander, preserved bean curds, vegetable broth seasoned with dark soy sauce. For garnishing, you will need spring onions, celery, green chillies, ginger, limes, dark soy sauce and seasoned tofu.

Malay Customs Muslim greet each other with the salam (an Islamic form of greeting) which consists of the words Assalamu'alaikum (Peace be upon you). A Muslim acknowledges the greeting with Wa'alaikumsalam (Upon you be peace too). When the Malays offer the salam, they will touch each other's right hand. The touch is a light clasp not amounting to a handshake. This is immediately followed by the movement of the hand towards the heart to signify the greeting is heartfelt.

Malay Customs However, opposite sex of Muslim cannot shake hand with each other. A non-Muslim should not greet a Malay this way. They can just greet their Muslim friend Selamat pagi (Good morning), Selamat tengahari (Good afternoon) and Selamat malam (Good night) etc.

Malay Customs All animals must be slaughtered by a Muslim according to the Islamic rites, called Halal. Pork in any form is not allowed. Amphibious animals such as snakes, frogs, crocodiles and birds of prey are also prohibited food. Intoxicating drinks are not allowed.
