Presentation transcript:

It means we care enough to live our lives in a way where we think about how to look after our planet for future generations.

We made our polytunnel from recycled pop bottles. There are about 1000 of them! Thank you to everyone for sending them in. We save our rainwater for our plants We made scarecrows for the allotment out of recycled materials We used old tyres for our herb garden We send our old clothes, shoes furniture etc to Notts Police Aid Convoy and they take it all to Africa. Why?

It all started as a hole in the ground. Then everyone came and helped ……………………. And just look what happened! It is now home to many species of animals and plants

Next came the Allotment It had been a building site but ………… We grew all sorts of healthy vegetables and it was so much fun! Now we have chickens as well and hope to have lots of fresh eggs.

We now have cycle racks outside Mr Cunliffe’s office. We like to walk to school if possible. We enjoy healthy school meals from food that is locally produced and hasn’t had to travel far. It all helps to reduce our carbon footprint

Carnarvon Eco Rap (An Eco Way to Save the Day) If you want to save the day just do things the eco way. Close that door, switch off the light; wasting power isn’t very bright. Put your rubbish in the bin; dropping litter is a sin! Try to recycle what you can, using it twice is the best plan. Planting trees, seeds, veggies too, is good for the birds, and it’s good for you. Take the bus, and leave the car, or use your legs – that’s better by far. Our Carbon Footprint is what it’s all about REDUCE, REUSE, RECYCLE, is the message we shout! And think of others, some far away, who need our help to save ….. their day.
