INCOME SUPPORT The Network should increase the number of persons released from incarceration who are provided with income support through: Public benefits enrollment Bridge loans and grants, Other forms of financial assistance Creative methods of support (e.g. transportation vouchers)

Workforce Training and Employment Placement Employment Placement  Increase resources  Transitional employment services  Outreach to Chambers of Commerce Workforce Training  Increase resources for programs offering intensive education and workforce training  Devote training funds to green building and other new areas of employment

Private Sector Employers and Organized Labor Private Sector Employers  Establish regular system of communication  Work with business sector to create Employment toolkit that answers common employer questions Organized Labor  Establish relationships with organized labor  Identify sectors with a minimum amount of barriers
