Reentry Population and Policies Accomplishments:  Collected baseline numbers on reentry population in Alameda County  Tracking reentry related policies and publicizing them on the website Challenges:  No formal data sharing agreement between Reentry Network and CDCR and Alameda County Probation www.acreentry.org

Services and Programs Accomplishments:  Health Task Force conducted thorough analysis of Reentry Health Care in Alameda County  Began to create an online resource directory which will be completed during the upcoming year  Income and Employment Task Force will begin as soon as resources are available Challenges:  Collecting data and information is labor intensive  Supply and demand information is difficult to accurately estimate www.acreentry.org

Task Forces Accomplishments:  Health Task Force was completed in March 2008  Established a template for the Task Forces that will be used for future task forces  Employment Task Force planning has begun and will begin convening as soon as resources are acquired Challenges:  Resources  Collecting data www.acreentry.org

Networking and Professional Development Accomplishments:  Held session on financial planning tools that may be useful to formerly incarcerated clients  Members are working with Santa Rita Jail and Supervisor Miley’s office to establish a debit card program that would issue debit cards instead of cash upon release  Supporting the Oakland Private Industry Council’s Reentry One-stop Activities Challenges:  Resources  Staffing capacity www.acreentry.org

Implementation Committee Accomplishments:  Obtained CDCR data for Measure Y program providers  Began to identify administrative and policy barriers to employment of the formerly incarcerated  Obtained state resources to allow Measure Y to begin providing services at Santa Rita County jail and to non- Oakland residents Challenges:  Staffing changes www.acreentry.org

Coordinating Council Accomplishments:  Developed Reentry Network structure and process of two-way information sharing  Created website: www.acreentry.orgwww.acreentry.org  Received presentations and provided feedback to new programs such as the Community Service Gateway Project  Developed priorities document based on input and feedback from the entire Reentry Network Challenges:  Promoting the network and establishing systems of communication  Expanding membership www.acreentry.org
