Presentation transcript:

Organizational Leadership Imperatives Organizations have great impacts on the public, they must accept responsibilities to society. Leaders of organization must encourage participation in meeting social responsibilities and quality performances. Leaders are responsible for ensuring that computer systems improve, not degrade, the quality of working life. When creating a computer system, you must consider the personal and professional development, physical safety, and human dignity of the workers.

The leadership has the responsibility to clearly define appropriate and inappropriate use of organizational computing resources. Although there are not many rules, they are to be fully enforced when established. Current system users, potential users and other persons whose lives may be affected by a system must have their needs assessed and incorporated in the statement of requirements.

Designing a system that deliberately inadvertently demean individuals or groups is ethically wrong. Professionals who are designing the systems should verify that the systems are implemented to protect personal privacy and enhance personal dignity. Opportunities must be available to all members to help improve their knowledge and skills in computing, including courses that help in knowing the consequences of certain systems.
