Possible options for sequence of high school science courses if incoming freshman has been placed in Algebra for grade 9. Physical and Earth Science Biology Chemistry and /or Physics Chemistry and/or Physics and/or Elective Physical and Earth Science Biology and Chemistry Physics and/or Elective Elective Physical and Earth Science Physics and Chemistry Biology and/or Elective Elective

Placement criteria Current math course Grade in math course Teacher recommendation only after pre- requisite is met. hool_information/courses hool_information/courses (The online course book has been rewritten and is very user friendly now)

Levels of Physics available for 9 th grade Traditional (level I) Honors AP

Summer courses Chemistry offered at high school – don’t count toward GPA will appear on transcript if Option II form has been filled out, but qualify as pre-requisites for higher level course. There will be a lab practicum that students need to pass for summer science Concerns about summer courses - long term retention, growth over the year versus over 6 weeks
