Introduction: Shopping Budget Are you a good shopper? Good shoppers are those who do not spend more than their budget. A budget is the total sum of money set aside or needed for a purpose Good shoppers also “ shop ” around for the best deals. We are going to start our shopping spree, so get ready to shop till you drop!

TASK Congratulations! You have done all of your chores for the entire month. From doing these chores you have earned $ This money came just in time, because you have just been invited to your best friend ’ s birthday party. You need to go shopping for some gifts.

Task Continued Your task is to go shopping for your friend and buy three to six gifts. Your budget will be $ You are going to go shopping and not spend more than $50.00.

Process You will find items and prices on the web. You may visit Wal-Mart, KB Toys, K-Mart, Target, and Toys R Us. Links to these sites are on the next slide. You will also need to fill in the budget worksheet, which is provided for you on slide 7.
