Easter The oldest and most important Christian holiday is Easter. The week before Easter is called the Holy Week. Friday before Easter is called Holy Friday.

On Holy (Good) Friday people eat fish. For breakfast on Easter Sunday people usually eat boiled eggs. For Easter Sunday dinner people usually have beef, lamb and ham baked in bread.

Eggs are an important part of Easter celebrations. They are a symbol of new life. Traditional Easter gifts are coloured eggs or chocolate eggs.

In this Easter game children look for eggs. The game is called an Easter egg hunt. In this Easter game children roll eggs to see whose egg rolls farthest. This game is called an Egg race.

The last day of Easter celebrations is Easter Monday.
