2 EASTER SYMBOLS It is traditional to eat warm 'hot cross buns ' on Good Friday. The cross on top of the buns symbolises and reminds Christians of the cross that Jesus was killed.

3 EASTER SYMBOLS Boiled eggs are traditionally served at breakfast. After breakfast people go to church for a service to celebrate Jesus rising from the dead. Then they have breakfast with the family.

4 EASTER SYMBOLS At home everyone gives each other chocolate eggs. In England children get big ones filled with sweets.

5 EASTER SYMBOLS Around 80 million chocolate eggs are eaten each year in Britain.

6 After dinner children play the game – Easter Egg Hunt. Parents hide small chocolate eggs in the garden or at home and children try to find them.
