Things you need to know… Copy this into your jotter: Homophones are words that sound the same but have different spellings and meanings. (Muscle/mussel) Homonyms are spelled the same but have different meanings. (saw/saw) Homographs are spelled the same but sound different and have different meanings. (tear/tear)
