BELLWORK What advances did the Romans make in architecture? Who were the gladiators? What was the Spartacus revolt? What were the Punic Wars? Why didn’t people like Julius Caesar? What were the achievements of Augustus Caesar?

Ancient Civilizations: India vs. China The last early civilizations you are going to learn about are India and China. Both made significant achievements during their time. In your notes, divide your paper into two columns. Label one column India and the other column China. With a partner, you are going to complete this chart by taking notes on their achievements. One person read about India pgs The other person read about China pgs

Ancient Civilization Review 1.Egyptian 2.Indus River Valley 3.Israelites 4.Greece 5.Rome 6.Huang River Valley 7.India 8.China 9.Mesopotamia Over the entire unit, we have learned about numerous civilizations. We are now going to review each one using a strategy called “carousel brainstorming”

Carousel Brainstorming You are going to go to a station and brainstorm everything you remember about each topic. Each team must write with their OWN color Every team mate must write at one station You will be given 30 seconds at each station Try and write down the most accurate information – if you are out of ideas, try adding on to something that was already written by another group To start: go to the poster with your color written in the corner

Civilizations Flyer Now that you know all the benefits of each civilization, you are going to create a flyer encouraging people to move there. The flyer must have reasons people should move there. It must be neat and colored. The flyer should be persuasive – you want people to move there! Be creative!
