The Story Of Stuff Watch the following video to learn more about “stuff”

So, you ask…  How can our school conserve resources and reduce its environmental impact?  How can students take practical action to help the environment and grow as stewards & leaders?

Jason Lee is joining

Washington Green Schools Is a voluntary, statewide, web-based program our school will use to: –Reduce its environmental and carbon footprint. –Provide students with hands-on experience & education about the environment.

Operation Green School  Is coming to Jason Lee in February  Will include students from 6 th, 7 th, and 8 th grade  Meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:50-4:25pm

Be the change you want to see in our school… As a member of the Green Team you will:  Sleuth out unnecessary waste in our school  Strategize ways to save energy and resources  Teach your peers and teachers how to reduce their carbon footprint  Help plan and put on a Sustainability Fair for the community

The Mission –Focus on environmental sustainability both inside and outside the classroom. –Take action that results in environmentally responsible facilities.

The Vision Our Students will:  Be community leaders as environmental stewards.  Help reduce our carbon footprint and teach others to do the same

How will Green Team Members Benefit? If you are a student who wants to gain: –Leadership and collaboration experience –Community service opportunities –Healthier schools –Empowerment to take action –Recognition for efforts
