What Are the Building Trades? We are construction unions Organized by trade – ie. Plumber, electrician, sheet metal worker About 7,000 members in Saskatchewan

What Do We Do? We build major projects such as hospitals, power plants and potash mines We don’t build houses – we are focussed on industrial construction

A building trade is an area of expertise related to construction There are 13 trades in the Saskatchewan Building Trades: 1.Boilermaker 2.Bricklayer 3.Carpenter 4.Cement Mason 5.Electrician 6.Insulator 7.Iron Worker 8.Labourer 9.Millwright 10.Operating Engineer 11.Painter 12.Plumber / Pipefitter 13.Sheet Metal Worker
