In-sessional English Skills Centre for English and World Languages

We offer... In-sessional English Skills Credit bearing English language modules for undergraduates

What is the In-sessional English Skills ( IES) programme? free English language service for international students all levels from Foundation to Postgraduate 2 hours per week in each term self enrolment

What will you learn? There are five modules on the IES programme. Grammar Essay writing Seminar discussion and presentation Listening and note-taking One -to-one essay writing tutorials

Will you get credits? The IES doesn’t carry credits. You can earn employability points for attendance. 2 hours attendance = 5 points maximum 20 points

Regular attendance is rewarded... attendance of minimum of 6 classes per term in each module = ‘pass’ on your final transcript 80% attendance = ‘letter of excellent attendance’ per module 0 attendance = de-registration (you can’t fail!)

How do you enrol? Go to your home page on the Student Data System 1.Click on Workshops

2. Click on English Language

3. Click on the sessions you want to attend. You can attend 2 hours per week in each term.
