When and where did it launch. It launched on April 11, It launched from Kennedy Space Center, Florida.

Who were the astronauts who flew the spacecraft? The astronauts were James A. Lovell, John L. Swigert, and Fred W. Haise.

What mission was it part of? It was part of Apollo.

What was the purpose of the exploration? Apollo 13 was supposed to land in the Fra Mauro area and collect a metric ton of moon rocks for analysis on Earth.

Were there any complications during the exploration? Yes, something happened to one of the oxygen tanks and it made them lose all power.

2 Extra Facts The Apollo 13 mission was called a successful failure because the astronauts were brought home safely not with standing the failure of the mission. It was the 13 th scheduled space exploration mission, scheduled for liftoff at the 13 th minute after the 13 th hour. The Lunar landing was scheduled for the 13 th day of April.
