iReadiRead: iRead provides targeted instruction and ongoing practice in phonological awareness, alphabet knowledge, phonics, decoding, word recognition, fluency, and morphological awareness – ensuring mastery of foundational reading by the end of the second grade. Born from the Common Core State Standards, iRead’s scope and sequence moves as a continuous set of 311 topics from kindergarten to second grade, allowing for differentiated placement, adaptive instruction, and ongoing practice for children who are below, on, and above grade level. Recommended Lexile reading levels: Beginning Reader thru 300 System 44System 44: System 44® was designed for our most challenged older, struggling readers (those reading at BR–400 Lexiles in elementary; BR- 600 Lexiles in secondary). Intentionally metacognitive, System 44 helps students understand that the English language is a finite system of 44 sounds and 26 letters that can be mastered. The program invites students to unlock this system and join the community of readers. Through a combination of teacher-led and software-based instruction, students are guided along a systematic path from phonemic awareness to fluent reading. Multiple points of entry allow students to work at the appropriate level based on their performance on the Scholastic Phonics Inventory (SPI). Recommended Lexile reading levels: Beginning Reader thru 400/600 (Elementary/Secondary) READ 180READ 180: READ 180® Next Generation is a comprehensive system of curriculum, instruction, assessment, and professional development proven to raise reading achievement for struggling readers. Originally developed by Dr. Ted Hasselbring and his team at Vanderbilt University, READ 180 is now the most thoroughly researched reading intervention program in the world. Hundreds of studies, five peer- reviewed journals, and the federal government’s What Works Clearinghouse have all documented READ 180’s effectiveness. Designed for students reading two or more years below grade level, READ 180 leverages adaptive technology to personalize instruction for students and provide powerful data for differentiation to teachers. Respectful of students of all ages, READ 180 is available in three stages, each with unique, age-appropriate content. Recommended Lexile reading levels: Educator Community.Educator Community. Teacher profile: Dynamic teacher skilled at motivating and accelerating at-risk students.
