Infantry Force Concerns Training management , supply discipline & maintenance management Stress on the Force (Suicide) SSG (E6) Master Gunner, Sniper, Ranger, fill rates are below 50% of authorizations

Ranger Issues Need Ranger qualified NCOs Ability to fill Ranger Coded positions with Ranger qualified NCOs reduced by 50% since 2000 Ability to man RTB is significantly impacted Ranger Slots Available Talking Points SFC Population reduced by 73% SSG Population reduced by 70% SGT Population reduced by 77% We are overbooking the course but enlisted Soldiers are not attending BCT Commanders must be innovative in their approach to scheduling Soldiers around deployments (late deployers, early returns, etc) Training seats are not an issue. HRC has been unable to fill only 53% of its yearly quota and USAEUR (44% fill), USARPAC (39% fill), FORSCOM (43% fill), all have allocated quotas remaining. Matching up seats with individual unit ARFORGEN requirements still remains a significant issue. All Infantry NCOs can attend Ranger School PCS enroute (minus Drill, Recruiting, etc) Need Ranger qualified NCOs 16
