3 3 USAG Fort Carson’s Mission The Mountain Post Garrison Team provides units mission support and services including quality of life programs for the Fort Carson Soldiers, Families and community to enable forces to execute expeditionary operations and to minimize stress on Soldiers and Families in a time of persistent conflict. “The Best Hometown in the Army – Home of America’s Best!”

4 4ID HQs has deployed to Iraq and is doing an outstanding job working with their Iraqi counterparts. Command & control of Fort Carson has been successfully transitioned to the ASC/MSE. They are committed to continuing to train Soldiers for deployments and taking care of families as well as maintaining ties with the front range community FCCO is committed to getting the most out of the existing terrain and facilities at PCMS. We look forward to working with our southern Colorado community partners as we make PCMS a great place for units to prepare for deployments FCCO will continue to provide robust resiliency and comprehensive Soldier Fitness programs/services to Soldiers/Family members during this period of sustained deployments FCCO will continue to operate in a cost saving/cost avoidance culture The Department of the Army has not made a decision with regard to stationing a Combat Aviation Brigade at Fort Carson or any other Army installation Key Messages FY11

7 Transforming Army Community Service: Warrior Family Community Partnership VISION A centrally located hub that links Soldiers, Families, and the community to information, programs, and services on Fort Carson. The WFCP is an integrated, multi-faceted partnership of Army and community resources, both virtual and onsite, that are easily available to all. MISSION STATEMENT The Fort Carson WFCP integrates existing systems of support and services to Fort Carson Soldiers and their Families to assure an optimal quality of life while fulfilling their mission to our nation. WFCP concept also serves the Greater Front Range Community by providing a forum and facility space for individuals and groups wishing to support Soldiers and Families with services, gifts, and volunteer activities.
