METROCENTRE - TRANSPORT  23% of visitors use public transport  Bus station for local and regional services - 6,400 buses per week  Railway station trains a week  MetroCentre is located on the A1 Western Bypass, 15 minutes from Newcastle airport and seven minutes from Newcastle City Centre  9,250 free car spaces in multi-storey and surface car parks all round the centre  4,800 coach visits a year  Connections to local cycle routes

METROCENTRE - REDEVELOPMENT  Redevelopment to provide 371,000 sq.ft. including -New 180,000 sq. ft department store for Debenhams -28 new shop units  New 1,100 space multi-storey car park  New transport interchange with covered waiting areas integrated with the malls

METROCENTRE, GATESHEAD New Red Mall and new multi-storey car park New Public Transport Interchange and associated infrastructure work
