Why would I want my teachers’ twitter tweets? Mrs. Bailey reminds you about a test tomorrow (yes, Mrs. Bailey TWEETS!) Mrs. Gould wants to remind you to bring your Literature Books to class tomorrow. Mrs. Swarthout has to have all the field trip permission slips tomorrow. Mrs. Jackson needs Starbucks, and wants her students to bring some to class.

Step #1: ASK YOUR PARENTS IF YOU ARE ALLOWED TO RECEIVE TEXT MESSAGES FROM YOUR TEACHERS ON TWITTER!!!!! ;-) <3

Go to the settings button on your twitter home page.

Your setting page will look something like this. Press the mobile tab.

Enter your mobile phone number and press start to verify your phone.

Your number here You will be asked to send a text to with the message GO to set up your phone.

Device updates need to be “ON” if you want to receive text messages from your teacher’s tweets.

Now go find your teacher. We’re looking for Mr. Pendry. I will search lavillapendry.

Found his tweets! Let’s go to his page to “follow” him. Click on his twitter name.

To receive SMS text message updates when Mr. Pendry tweets, click the small phone icon.

You are good to go! Every time Mr. Pendry tweets you’ll receive a text message.
