1. This is the software we will use to load our html page up to the server. You can download a copy for home if you want to.

2. I clicked on the WinSCP icon (it is hidden now) to bring up the login screen. Enter the host name and the user name you were given. Click login

3. Answer yes and continue and you will then be asked for your password.

4. I am into the cit32 area on the server. You will be in your area. Next click on public_html to load your html.

6. Drag the page over and click copy

8. You can choose to make a folder using files and new.

10. Now I have put a copy of the page in the folder. This gets a copy of the page in the public_html. I need to add the folder name if I want to see the page I put in the folder. The address is cisweb.bristolcc.edu/~username/filename.html or if I have a folder I use cisweb.bristolcc.edu/~username/foldername/filename.html

11. With a folder put the folder name in the path.

13. Now we will start to look at some information from the book.

14. This shows the structure of the table and the data in the table. Now we will look at doing this with Access.

16. Click on the icon and new to make a new database. Note that I named the table and browsed to put it on the T drive. Then click Create

17. I want a different look, so I clicked here and chose design view. Then I named the table.

18. Now I am in design view and I want to rename the field and change the type. I will choose number and long integer to allow for multiple digits.

20. Now I add the stuname field and make it text. Text starts out at 255 but I do not need that many characters to enter a name. I decided on 30 (maybe I should have used 40 or 50).

21. Now I enter grade which is 2 text characters for A or B or B+ etc. Every record should have a primary key. Microsoft put it in, if I want a different field I can select it using the primary key icon.

22. To enter data, I click on view and save as I go to view.

23. Now I can enter data into the structure of my table.

24. idno is the primary key
