POPULATION: FROM INHABITANTS, ARE YOUNG PEOPLE AGED BETWEEN 15 AND 34. FROM WHICH: 6% ARE IMMIGRANTS CASTELLÓN IS LOCATED IN THE EAST COAST OF SPAIN

INTEGRAL YOUTH POLICY Castellón works based on a model whose premises and principles are:  Integrality  Cross-way working  Coordination and cooperation  Prevention and promotion  Accessibility  Joint responsibility

The Youth Department, together with other areas in the City Council, work for the youth in a cross way within different fields: – INFORMATION AND ADVISING – TRAINING – EMPLOYMENT – HOUSING – HEALTH – YOUTH CULTURE AND ENTERTAINMENT – ACCESS, MOBILITY AND SUSTAINABILITY – YOUTH INVOLVEMENT AND PARTICIPATION

INFORMATION AND ADVISING Necessary aspects for the support of the youth on their maturing process. Consolidation of a free youth advising services network. Currently, 5 services: 1. Affectivity and sexuality 2. Eating disorders 3. Studies 4. Self-employment 5. Legal issues

YOUTH PARTICIPATION YOUTH LEISURE CENTRE. Last example(2010). New way to work promoting youth active participation in a city project. According to their needs and tastes through: - Web page: sending ideas and voting them. - Social networks: communication. USING THEIR OWN CODE AND COMMUNICATION TOOLS IS THE BEST WAY TO INVOLVE YOUNG PEOPLE

Why do we want to become ENSA member?  To be in contact with the network members and exchange know-how and experiences in the youth sector.  To be more active in the youth field and improve the youth situation in our city.  To foster international co-operation and mutual learning.  To participate in European projects.
