Energy

Energy is the ability to do work *measured in different units depending on the type of energy

Conservation Law of Energy

Energy can not be created nor destroyed. Energy can be converted from one form to another.

Types of Energy

Mechanical Energy: Energy associated with motion. Examples: Motors, engines, pistons in a car.

Heat: *The internal motion of matter. *Matter changing its state from a solid to a liquid to a gas.

Chemical Energy: The energy that bonds atoms together. Examples are fuels, batteries, and food.

Electromagnetic Energy: The energy of an electrical charge. Examples: Light, electricity, microwaves, infrared radiation, X-rays, Gamma rays, UV light, etc..

Nuclear Energy: The energy that is locked inside the nucleus of an atom. Examples: Fission and Fusion.

Bonus Question: What form of energy is the strongest?

Nuclear Energy:.
