In math we have done a lot of things. In the beginning of September our class started doing math. First we started doing pink math from our pink math book. In the beginning of May we did the math STAR test. Every day until the middle of May we have had homework from our homework or practice book. After the middle of May we started to do review math from our big math work book.

When we started science we worked on magnets and electricity. After that we worked on rocks and minerals. In that we learned what the Mohs scale is and other cool stuff. In May we started learning about different biomes and the rainforest.

The first thing we did in social studies was learning about the California Indians and what they did. After that we learned about government. After the government we learned about the gold rush.

When we did ELA we wrote narratives, summaries, and response to literature. After that we got pen pals. We wrote letters to them. In March we had a writing test. After that we had the ELA STAR test.

We have been on a lot of field trips. Our first field trip was seeing the Nutcracker. Our second field trip was going to Sacramento and Sutter's Fort. Our third field trip was going to the Audubon. Our last field trip was going to the Oakland Museum.
