Reminders
This month we are still getting to know each other. I am so very excited to learn about each of my students. We will start writing to our Pen Pals at St. Dominic’s School in Eagle Rock this month also.
Math
This month we continue to work on addition of 3 and 4 digit numbers. We are also working on place value.
Reading
We are learning how to ask/answer questions referring explicitly to the text in Literature and Informational Text.
Spelling/Vocabulary
Please make sure to attend Back-To-School Night on Thursday September 06, I will have important information about the classroom
We are working on the vocabulary words from the text and words with short vowel sounds found in them.
Writing
We are working on expanding sentences and fixing sentence fragments.
Science/ Social Studies
In Social Studies, we are learning about the regions in California and how they are similar/different.
In Science, we are learning what plants and animals need to survive.
Upcoming Events
PE is every Friday – Make sure to wear the proper uniform.
Library is every Tuesday – Students need to return their book every week.
Religion
We continue to learn about how God love’s us and how he has shown his love to different people.
